Academic Programs
The Institute’s Academic Programs and Services prime responsibilities pertain to maintaining a liaison role with the management of Bahir Dar University, particularly in the areas of Land administration academic program matters.The office provides advice to academic various academic units of the institute and the office of the Vice President of Academic Affairs in the development of new programs for appearance to the university’s management. The office also harmonizes and advises various campus units in other academic fields in various capacities such as submissions to the management, including annual program reviews, countrywide surveys, grant proposals, performance/results reports, program policies and graduate education issues and student assessment to mention but a few.
The Office contributes to the University's educational and research missions by conducting quality assessments of proposed and continuing undergraduate and graduate programs (currently under development), as well as of research institutes and centres. Reviews of undergraduate programs, research institutes and centres are conducted at the request of the director and the academic commission.
