The Institute of Land Administration in conjunction with Bahir Dar university librarians cares deeply about students interests. Our mission is centered as support for the “entire student and instructor community.” We sustain students’ social and cultural lives as well as their intellectual growth. We value all stages of student advancement from the first timid steps as a university freshman student to the ultimate drive towards graduation.
Throughout our students educational journey, we contribute energetically to ensure our students become knowledgeable, engaged, complete citizens and all-time learners. As it has now become the Institute’s tradition, we collaborate with many partners across the globe, chief among them the faculty of Business Education (FBE Campus), in pursuit of this goal.As a hub of university grounds life, the Library is a venue for a range of activities, from silent study to group work, from social networking to computing, from journeying to discovery in multitude forms, from inventive expression to innovation, from research to service. Our Library is designed with the concept of secure, safe, and welcoming environment for all of these activities.
The theory of Enriching Student Success guides our forecast in essential ways. Based on this theory the Library develops annual goals with a dedication to constant enhancement. We strive to undertake all initiatives via user-centered approach. We know that the learning advancement depends on keeping current, understanding external and internal factors and being flexible in a fast-moving world. We feel that timely attention to good practices will enable the Library to meet the requirements of a dynamic student population and learning environment.
